Joomla error JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Joomla Error-JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths

Our store uses the Script Opencart. It was showing blank page while tried to access Admin page.
I have pasted the following lines in Index.php of Admin directory and checked for errors.
ini_set(‘display_errors’, 1);
ini_set(‘log_errors’, 1);
error_reporting(E_ALL);

After that while reloading the Admin page, I found the error was in the directory path. After renaming the correct directory name in Config.php inside Admin folder, it started working fine..
Finally the blank page problem solved!

Increase memory_limit = 128M or 256M in your php.ini
If no way to increase your memory limit, change your web host
I recommend Ethwebs.net

Hi there,

I have same issue with the admin page – when I tried to open it it gave me blank page.
I have verified the path and it looks like fine but who knows…
I put the code in my config.php inside the admin subfolder. But nothing happened.
Where I need to see the error log?
Please help!

Regards,
Dimi

I’m having the same problem, how do you implement the code? I’ve put it in there and refresh, but not getting any report? Will it come up on the admin login page?

Hi.
If your site’s front-end is loading fine and if the Admin login page is showing a blank page, then please copy above code and paste it in the Index.php file inside Admin folder. This is just to show an error log with which you can analyze the reason for
blank page. If there was a server move or server upgrade by your web hosting provider, the log can show you the incorrect path and you can rectify it.
If you need more help, please provide the site details using my Contact page.

I was getting blank white admin pages and I used your method to check errors. ini_set(‘display_errors’, 1); ini_set(‘log_errors’, 1); error_reporting(E_ALL); Thanks heaps for that! It ended up being a hosting issue. After I contacted the hosting company the informed me that they were having issues with MYSQL and that nothing was actually wrong with the website. I just wanted to add my experience incase anyone else was having similar issues to me. Typical errors that were displaying in my case… Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ (2) in /home/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com.au/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_startup.php on line 52 Notice: Error:… Read more »
